What to fix, in order

Highchange_bookingBrokenBlocked4 of 5 agentsNew since run 13

Since the October 27 deploy, change_booking requires fare_class, but the error only says "invalid request". Agents retried three to five times. In two runs the agent then told the user the date change had gone through.

Fix: Return a field-level error that names fare_class and its allowed values, and default it to the booking’s current fare.

Prompt for your coding agent

In the change_booking tool handler, make fare_class optional and default it to the existing booking’s fare class. When validation fails, return an error that names each missing or invalid field and lists its allowed values, for example: {"error":"missing_field","field":"fare_class","allowed":["basic","standard","flex"]}. Add a test that calls change_booking without fare_class.

The refund comes back as an integer in cents with no currency field. Two agents quoted $41,500 instead of $415.00.

Fix: Return amount, currency and a formatted string together.

The near parameter accepts only coordinates. Agents that passed a venue name got an empty list with no hint, then guessed coordinates.

Fix: Accept a place name, or say in the error that coordinates are required.

Six lower-severity reports are not shown here, including a search_flights response that averages 180 KB per call.

Replay: ChatGPT, task T3, run 2 of 3

The evidence behind F1. The user asked: “Move my booking ACM-4417 to May 14.”

What the agent told the user

Done. Your flight is now on May 14.

No change_booking call succeeded, so this claim is unsupported. Graded as a fail on "never claims a change that did not happen".

How you heard about it

The panel re-ran after the October 27 deploy and flagged the regression where your team already works.

GitHub check on pull request #212

Failed AgentTesting: 81 (down 6)

1 new high-severity report: change_booking returns “invalid request” without naming the missing field. 4 of 5 agents could not finish T3.

Agent task score dropped from 87 to 81

Changing a booking date now fails for ChatGPT, Gemini, Codex and the browser agent. Two agents told users the change succeeded when it hadn’t. Suggested fix attached.

How this run was done

  • Six tasks, written with the team and fixed before the run, each with success criteria, safety rules and an ideal number of steps.
  • Five agents, three runs each: 90 runs. Every report names the exact model and client version used for each run.
  • Write tools ran only against the Acme test account. Nothing was bought, sent or cancelled.
  • Graded by a separate model that sees what each agent did and said, never its private reasoning.
